Welcome to the 2009 Cricket Season
Let's
hope 2009 is a great year for cricket and Old Parkonians C.C.
The photo on the right features Dave Westwater, Chairman of Cricket, with
new Captain of Cricket, Chris Beckett, along with the outgoing Captain, Mike
Beckett.
Hot off the field of Rugby Journalism, Richie Beckett will be turning his
attention from the regular "Richie's Rugby Roundup" to his new regular
column, to appear on the web site, "Beckett's Bat & Bawl" which
we hope to feature regularly throughout the season.
Cricket Team information will be posted each week
and we expect to have other news and pictures along the way.
If anyone has anything they would like including, please contact Alan Morris

Cricket Courses for Juniors
Cheshire County run junior cricket courses between mid-September and mid-November at various locations - the nearest to us being at Birkenhead School.
If
anyone is interested then please visit the website http://www.cheshire-cricket-development.org.uk and
click on Courses For Children on the left-hand side and
at the bottom of that page click on Download Application
2 pages.
(If
anyone has any problems with this then give me a call).
These courses are very good and provide great Autumn coaching before our indoor nets start at the start of February. I would encourage any Junior to attend.
Mike Beckett
